Raverly is a great knitting Community!!

I like to be on raverly.com because i can document all my articles and keep track of them through my computer, as well if there should be any corrections done to sweaters or garments... this is my site that i have for reference.

This was my first sweater where I really got into modifying things and making changes.

here is a screen shot of what you will see when you visit my page

Raverly has a lot to offer, such as
this is from my collection anyways,,,,

I have met the most interesting people, I even have designers as friends on there.

This community for knitting I think is great.

Would like to see her make these into videos for sale for easy reference. We will see what happens if she does, I will purchase them.

Her ebook is on sale right now at http://easyknittingdesign.com it is $24.99 until Sept. 15, 2010 then it will be $49.95.

Ok while back at the home front... lol... I will wait to recieve my ebook I purchased and then write a review. I do believe this is going to be a great reference guide to add to my already awesome collection. I love learning new things in knitting.

Alright,,, I got the book and Downloaded it... Love it,,, I can so relate to her opening sentences. Which are this.......

My own def

Have you ever found a pattern you wanted to knit, but not fitting you right..... oh yeah many times... It is not just cause i wear plus sizes, but really each persons body is different, I have ran into this talking to women who are petite as well...

If you have ran into this problem, and or need serious detailed instruction how to do something. She has it in the most easiest terms, she related int he book about Zimmermann and Rhigotti, two books which I have..... She put them in simple layman terms with Graphics... This is definitely a book that is worth adding by far...

Knitting Chart Creator

Heads up, from the cable forum on ravelry I found a really neat link on how to transform you written pattern into a chart.

here is a sample of sweater babes cables sweater number 71 I like to see what i am knitting instead of reading it.

So, you just type in what you read, then you can sit on the couch and watch tv and just look at the chart. That easy.

ONLY DOWN FALL FROM WHAT I COULD SEE WHAT THIS

but you all can decide for yourself, If i find some other easy generators or you find one post it,,, we can run a easy link for other knitters to find.

I did find another one on my own. This chart is at http://www.innaz.com/cgi-bin/makechart/makechart.cgi I think this one for me was better cause it had the key for cable lovers... we know how we love our cables.

Here is a sample of her chart. This is from her chart page on the manual how to create this chart.

This one for me was easier to use. I just love to chart and see what I am doing while knitting.

Here is a sample of the first four lines from the SweaterBabe pattern

#73 Women's Top-Down Short-Sleeved Cardigan by SweaterBabe

Follow this #73 Women's Top-Down Short-Sleeved Cardigan by SweaterBabe on raverly

I have never knitted a top down yet, I spoke with the author of this sweater Katherine. She gave me some advice and pointers to help me out with this.

In her pattern she writes: "[m1-L, slip marker, m1-R]"

Being new to knitting i was not sure what this was. I asked her, she gave me a link for a video that helped out. So, I could better understand it. It is also known as a KLL and a KRL. Here is the link:

Was very pleased how this turned out. I am giving it to my Grandma for her birthday tomorrow. Hope she loves it.

Well, what can i say knit 1, pearl 2, tile 10. lol Trying to get the tiling done on the bathroom, while knitting a new sweater.

The heat here does not help.. been nice but the weather is very humid, something we are not use to in this area.
